My experience with UX/UI tends to be more web-based. I've worked with smaller companies that tend to use pre-built solutions (WIX, Wordpress, etc.). In larger companies, I work with the UX/UI teams peripherally as a designer, helping them to strategize and design for solutions that build into the company brand.
