WHY WORK WITH ME?

I’m half right-brain/half left-brain, making me quite good at balancing between the fine art of pragmatism and that of unbridled creativity. I love to design, dive into creative problem solving, mentor, and collaborate. My design experience and teamwork help companies and teams to achieve exceptional outcomes and transform the commonplace into the exceptional.


While collaborating with diverse groups and helping them to shine, my roles and experience have included graphic designer, learner, brand champion, art director, mentor, artist, team lead, idea generator, presenter, illustrator, creative growth expert, thinker, thought leader, production artist, and cheerleader. I work with teams worldwide. 

 

RECENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Power…Point to the people. PowerPoint design, templates, presentations. In my work with Okta and Salesforce, the design, development, and maintenance of PowerPoint decks, templates, style guides, icons, and online media used within instructor-led training, event training, company events, and certification helped our executives, instructors, developers, salespeople, and marketing members to achieve exceptional coursework, online content, communication and thought leadership to and for our customers

  • Variety is the spice of life. Volunteer. As a dedicated board member for Variety – the Children’s Charity of Northern California, we help to make the community better for the children of Northern California through governance and guidance. My skills and passion in design help our team to develop branding, marketing materials, and plan for upkeep and maintenance. I led a complete overhaul of the website design for Northern California that is being considered as a template for the charity chapters worldwide to help increase ease of use, participation, and reduce cost

  • Amassing an army of minions. Illustrated characters. The “Salesforcelandians,” an ongoing and ever-growing collection of illustrated characters used throughout the 700+ module Trailhead learning system at Salesforce brought consistency and clarity to customers. As team lead in developing, delegating and directing creation to other artists, working with a lead Illustrator (as well as illustrating characters myself), we brought Trailhead teaching concepts to life

  • Primary project includes research, design, presentation, and best practice implementation of new PowerPoint templates for the Content Development Team. Develop innovative icons, graphics, and slides wrapped up into a single presentation template that can effectively be utilized in online, print, classroom, conferences and events, and large-scale projection environments

  • Secondary projects include developing training personas, posters, badges, charts, illustrations, infographics, google slides, and event graphics

  • Work closely with and supporting instructors, content developers, and management

Senior Graphic Designer

Trailhead Creative, Salesforce, 2017 – October 2018

Created, collaborated, and conceptualized with a team of five creatives. Supported the 350+ person Trailhead Department and select company-wide initiatives in graphic needs.

  • Solidified the “Salesforcelandian” character illustration project. As Team Lead, presented a consistent voice for departmental character illustration best practices

  • Team lead on PowerPoint template development for instructor-led training, certification, and events, with secondary development in Keynote and Google Slides

  • Badge creation. Developed and maintained internal and external badge style guides for online and event-based Trailhead Learning System. Collaborated with fellow designers in creating the hundreds of badge designs used in the Trailhead learning environment.

  • Brand and style guide authoring, review, education, and enforcement

  • Mentoring and teaching of junior team members and contractors

  • Illustration and editing of digital assets and company mascots used widely throughout the Salesforce ecosystem

  • Departmental asset management best practices. Transitioned designs and resources from Dropbox to Google Drive. Revamped naming structure and content hierarchy

Led twelve designers from Western U.S., and Hyderabad, India in creative growth, brand compliance, and design and production techniques. Designed for top clients, high-level partners, and assisted in helping others do the same.

  • Collaborated with project coordinators to manage job scheduling and work with designers on project workflow and completion

PricewaterhouseCoopers, 2000 – 2006

Developed concepts for marketing, trade-show exhibitions, client deliverables as well as various client needs. Member of ten-person design team for the Western U.S. region.

  • Guided design team in the growth, implementation and understanding of evolving branding standards, including creation and distribution of brand materials

  • Served as liaison with clients, partners, and team members, providing feedback on creative direction as well as recommendations for new and innovative solutions
